Balkrishna

Artist

For as long as I remember, I loved to draw.  In 9th Grade, I remember having taken an award for my artwork from the hands of Waheeda Rehman, a great Indian classical dancer and film actress.  I was unable to pursue my love of art as times were hard in those days and working for livelihood took precedence over art.  Over the years, I traveled to many places and captured beauty through photography instead.  After I retired, I took up painting to fulfill my unfulfilled passion.  Since then, I found my life more meaningful and satisfying.

I paint for my own pleasure and to satisfy my soul.  Beauty appeals to me in everything I see. I fall in love with any beautiful subject or object., I feel, a thing of beauty is a joy forever and art flows from the heart!

I exhibited my paintings at:

  • 12th Annual Fine Arts Festival, East Brunswick, NJ, on June 7, 2014.

  • Monroe Twp Library Fine Arts Gallery, NJ : Solo Exhibition from July 1 to Aug 31, 2017.

  • West Orange Arts Council, NJ : 'Art from the Heart' Exhibition from Apr 7 to May 20, 2018 & ‘Small Works Show’ from Nov 11 to Dec 16, 2018.
